Project Manager

Location: Los Angeles, California

Position Summary: Project Managers are detail oriented while maintaining vision of the big picture. They provide intellectual leadership for the team and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget. Project managers are responsible for executing analytic tasks that lead to solutions of complex business problems. By managing client relationships to ensure that the team meets and exceeds the client's expectations. Project Managers participate in recruiting campaigns, and contribute to training programs. Project Managers report to a Principal working closely with an assigned Director.
  • Work with client executives in sales, marketing, finance, etc. to solve management issues.
  • Participate and lead client meetings to present consulting deliverables in sales effectiveness.
  • Conduct client research including on-site interviews, market research and surveys.
  • Manage Business Analyst and Associate Consultant resources on project engagements.
  • Create analytical models that simulate or forecast business problems and results.
  • Apply logic, business acumen, and The Group's methodologies to provide recommendations to client.
  • Demonstrate and develop excellent listening and communication skills to conduct fact finding studies, lead internal and client meetings, and deliver presentations of The Group's solutions to the client.
  • Prepare high quality, client reports and presentation materials that require minimal revisions.
  • Project manage major project work streams and small client engagements.

Qualifications: An advanced degree in a technical or scientific discipline from any Ivy League or equivalent school and 4 - 6 years of total professional experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience in management consulting. A B.S. in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, math, operations research, engineering) is a plus.

  • Quantitative skills and general problem solving skills for business problems.
  • Moderate to advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
  • High degree of motivation, flexibility and creativity.
  • A passion for high quality work, a "love of consulting" attitude, and a genuine desire to progress more rapidly in the profession.
  • High-Tech or Entertainment industry knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
